Helen and Peter moved to this beautiful small holding in the north Wales hills in 1985. The old farm stable was renovated and new purpose built accomodation and shower rooms were built.
The bunkhouse was initially run as an activity centre providing inclusive accommodation, meals and outdoor adventures such as canoeing, cycling and orienteering. There was also a notorious assault course running round the perimeter of the five acres of land. A wide range of chilgrens groups stayed over the years including Guides, Scouts, Woodcraft Folk, Girls and Boys Brigade and Gingerbread.
In more recent years, the centre stopped providing activities and visitors changed largley to adults visiting the area for white water sports in Bala, walking and climbing. Guests have ranged from Fire and Rescue Service, canoe clubs from the length and breadth of the country and corporate team building events and hen and stag parties. Helen's cooking is legendry and all have enjoyed the tasty home grown food, cosy surroundings and magnificent setting.
The gardens have been transformed from muddy, horse trampled fields into an oasis of wildlife gardens and ponds, organic fruit and vegetable gardens, an orchard and acres of woddland which are now starting to mature.
